Shipping Loads with Multiple Stops - Made Painless!

Shipping freight with multiple stops could be much more time consuming and painful, than shipping a load with no stops in-between the origin and destination point. When you do so, with each phone call you make to the trucking companies your conversations get longer and your patience gets shorter. You get tired of repeating yourself and describing your load in details, specifying the much needed variables about your shipment, such as: number of skids, size, dimensions, weight, type of product, number of pick-ups, number of deliveries, location of each stop time of arrival, etc.... But, however difficult it might seem, the trucking companies do need you to be very specific in your description in order to give you a comprehensive rate and avoid any post-service arguments or billing surprises. They are in business for the same reasons as you: to make money but at the same time to provide quality service and gain more satisfied customers.

Now, if you have not explored other venues, such as posting your load on an online load-board, I would suggest you to do so and see if it is going to work for you. But remember, this time you will be the one who will be excessively chased on the phone by freight carriers, so try not plan to spend too much time to do anything else but repeating the same shipment specifications again and again. Basically the way it is, the technology today has not improved this part of your work any easier than it used to be.

What if I told you that if you use the right piece of software, where you would completely describe all aspects of your shipment in details just once, including complete information about each stop and receive many online rates from multiple carriers, without ever calling you over the phone? Well, many shipping companies and freight brokers vow by it, but would it work for you – only you can tell? The best part is, it is free to post your loads!
